ARMSWISSBANK CJSC was founded on October 7, 2004 (Banking license N84, given
by the Central Bank of RA on 25.02.2005): The founder and sole shareholder of
the bank is the founder, shareholder and CEO of the world-famous watch-making
company Franck Muller Watchland, Vartan Sirmakes.
In 2007 ARMSWISSBANK was given licenses by the Central Bank for brokerage
(License N BG0064) and custody (License N PG0065) services.
The Bank operates in three main directions, specializing in the provision of
internationally accepted services of corporate, investment and private banking.
Corporate banking includes not only provision of traditional services
(payment services, lending, deposit schemes and trade finance), but also
provision of non-traditional services, such as alternative financing, derivative
instruments (forward, swap), factoring, financial consulting and other services.
ARMSWISSBANK also performs operations with gold bullions on contract basis at
international prices.
Investment banking includes a wide range of services in debt instruments and
other securities both in the local and foreign markets: from creation of
individual securities portfolios, as well as collective investment schemes, to
the rendering of asset management, brokerage and custody services and consulting
on investment operations.
ARMSWISSBANK offers its corporate clients securities underwriting services.
ARMSWISSBANK is connected to local and international payment and information
systems: BankMail, CBANet, SWIFT, Bloomberg, Reuters.
The Bank has memberships in different associations and specialized
organization: Union of Banks of Armenia, Mortgage Market Participants
Association of Armenia, Armenian Stock Exchange. American Chamber of
Commerce in Armenia.
In 2008 ARMSWISSBANK became a member of Factors Chain International. It
cooperates with German-Armenian Fund under Renewable Energy Development
lending program.
In 2006-2007 the Bank participated in initiatives for the securities market
development, as well as in institutional reforms through close cooperation with
the Central Bank of Armenia and different international organizations (OMX,
FSDP).
The Bank has 78 employees.
As of December 13 of 2007 the Banks total capital is AMD 3,910,988 thousand,
assets AMD 21,655,428 thousand, liabilities AMD 17,744,440 thousand.
